Mars Finance, a Chinese media platform recently invested by Binance, Matrixport, and other influential investors in China, just reported that Justin Sun said that he has wrapped up multiple acquisitions in the last week, and is about to announce the acquisition of the crypto social platform Steemit.

Five days ago, Sun Yuchen, the founder of TRON, revealed on his profile on the Chinese social networking Weibo that two mergers and acquisitions have been recently completed. But since then, this comment seems to have been deleted.

Steemit was created by Ned Scott and EOS founder Dan Larimer. The team launched the social media platform Steemit as the first application built upon Steem blockchain.

Further details of the deals have not been disclosed by Justin or the TRON team. At the TRON foundation Summit earlier in 2019, Andrew Levine, Content Director of Steemit, and Mick Tsai, the partner of Contentosio (COS) discussed the issue of “How the blockchain changes content” at the summit. The two gave constructive opinions of the current content creating according to the tweet.

When initially built, TRON’s original pitch was to become an entertainment and content sharing platform. Should the Steemit acquisition actually realizes, the company would have immediately a robust network of contributors and content in place to fulfill its original goal.

  • Damir says:

Justin can fuck off. If he manages to turn the biggest dapp in crypto into a TRON shilling machine wer all pretty much screwed.
Its a scary thought thinking what CZ and Justin will do if they start buying up stuff thats actually worth a damn and is used.
He should go and buy MINDS, Publish0x, Cent or some other platform no one uses. (that he can get cheap)

If he even tries to pull some crap like that im sure there will be a harsh reaction by the community to this.
He should take his centralization dreams somewhere else.
