Jeff started his high-frequency trading career in 2009 at Getco in Chicago and Singapore where he traded on electronic exchanges in all three major time zones, all four asset classes (equities, fixed income, commodities and FX) and three instrument types (cash, futures, and options). He then started his own trading firm Serenity Capital with some friends that focused on Asian traditional equity markets and later transitioned to cryptocurrency trading where he runs a consulting firm FRS that provides market microstructure and trading expertise to some of the largest HFT trading firms in the space. He lives in Dorado, Puerto Rico and bought his first bitcoin in early 2017.
